Welcome to Camp Crystal Lake

Friday the 13th is horror movie franchise that features over 12 gruesome films about Jason Voorhees, the fictional and famous hockey mask wearing character. Jason Voorhees drowned as a young boy at Camp Crystal Lake because of the camp staffs negligence. Since then, the lake was rumored to be “cursed” and this camp is the setting for many mass murders committed by Jason, who stars in all 12 films.

The original movie writer was Victor Miller and the producer and directer was Sean Cunningham. However, this was the only time we would see the two write or direct since the were not involved an the future Friday the 13th franchises.
